At the Races, 2015

Hey Dolls,

So for me as a Galwegian, the Galway races are a major point on anyone's calendar. So it has got me thinking about the style and putting together some inspiration for all you ladies wanting to attend "LADIES DAY".

I myself am hoping to attend this year, and cannot wait to see the fashion-and hoping there will be NO RAIN!!!!

I browsed pintrest and came across some styles I love!!

"Patterns"....

There are so many patterns on trend this year, but the two I love are simple and a nod to different colours trends also.

Colour Drop

This has a flowy kimono colour drop dress which I love. I love the neon pops of colour aswell. I think for the mid summer its a great girly  look. 

Floral

Using Miranda Kerr`s style as an example I love yellow this year and with floral print, you can not go wrong. With simple accessories its a classy and elegant look, with out it being boring, 

"VINTAGE"...

Navy

Navy again is very timeless and if you are not sure what colours suit you, navy is always a winner in my book. This one i pulled from pintrest again and I love the blouse and polka dot skirt, I feel its a 1940`s look, which i love.

Garden Rose

This is truly vintage. To me very elegant English rose. Because white and lace are in this year I think giving it a twist with a vintage nod looks beautiful. Teamed with a headpiece that matches the trend or era will make it pop, here we have a floppy bonnet and i think it works, with lace gloves and you will have nailed it!

"SKIRTS"....

Okay, for me I have left the best for last. I am in love <3 with balloon midi skirts! I think they are so versatile! Picking the right skirt and then teaming it with a variety of tops/blouses to dress it up and then some strappy heels are the perfect combo. 

Above I have just given an example of block, neon, pattern colours and textures from silk, waffle etc. 

Remember the skies the limit at the races, choose that head piece that complements the outfit you have choosen and prepare for the weather with an umbrella or coat! Irish weather is Summer one minute and Winter the next! :)

Motivation #June2015

Hey Dolls,

Any of you writers or bloggers have trouble naming your posts! Prime example here! ha!!

I have had a feeling for the last few days to write this. I suppose its also to help you, as to help me! 

The topic of motivation is so vast and can really cover every situation and life experience. 

weather its Fitness, Mental Health, Careers, Finance or simply doing something new in your everyday life.

Mine is more personal. Something I am still accepting. I do not want to share my personal stories here, or off load on people, but in the same right, I still think if any of you out there are going through a slump, confusion on where you are in life or need a extra kick, feel the blues, in a break up, feel bullied,  well I hope this may help you in some away.

I have learned that life can throw you so many curve balls, ones you never seen coming. In One day your life can have a huge change! 

"When something goes wrong in your life,

Yell: PLOT TWIST & MOVE ON"

The above quote is one of many I look at everyday and think, thats how I got to play it. If you read a book, you never get the the happy ending without some sort of struggle, pain, sadness or emotional feeling, so why not look at life like that. We will all get what we need from life, but we all got to make the effort to write our own stories instead of people narrating them for us. 

Its not easy, no one said it will be, no matter what situation you are in. But end of the day, if you can look back and say I was a good person, I helped him/her, I gave 100%, I am progressing slowly but progressing, My savings is low but I am still saving, I love my job, I love my friends and that you gave your whole heart into something new or special, then that feeling will never leave you. 

People may put you down, leave you or hurt you, but we all have a lion inside us, a lion that is ment to roar not hide away. Be who you want to be, not what people think you are. 

Getting fit, starting new in a new place, job, relationship all takes time, effort, respect and patience. Nothing is perfect but sometimes in life, its worth the bad to get the good then have nothing at all. 

We all hit a block in the road, we may hit the takeaway instead of hitting that 5k, or spend money on another top we dont need instead of saving, or see what is good in front us until its gone, but we cannot beat ourselves up for the failures we tell ourselves we made, only learn and take tomorrow as another day.

The blues are easily found, but happiness is the best reward for any hardship, work or pain we come across, we all just gotta believe in ourselves and work hard to create something we deserve! 

Nowadays, things are alot harder then 10 years ago, we all have to work on ourselves to get somewhere and someday someone will notice it, but never do anything to get praise, Praise youself silently and thank yourself by getting up and working even harder each day.

I hope this wasnt to heavy or boring here! I do feel we all need a pick me up, especially as we hit MIDWEEK and all of us may have a dream or ambition or wish, and we all need to find that spark to set ourselves alight to go get it.  We can all accomplish so much more with a little motivation!

Our goals/dreams/wishes may change due to things not under our control, but just means we where ment to try harder or create a new path to where we need to be!

If like me you are ADDICTED to Pintrest, you will have a board full of quotes, I love quotes. Kinda my think lately!

Take Risks People, Life is Short...

Fix Relationships that are worth having even if broken..

Run that extra mile to achieve that 10K..

Say I Love You to your loved ones...

Create time to make life time goals...

Make time to make healthy food yummy..

Try new things..

Explore and travel more...

Save for something you want..

Go for a job you know you will never have to call work again, only a dream...

Appreciate the small things!:)

Review: REN Instant Firming Beauty Shot**

Hello Dolls,

I love love loved this product, from the formula and the scent, it was great. From going to Makeup Artistry school, I learnt that anti-aging prevention is essential from your mid 20s, and being 24...6 months to 25 (omg), it is good to put this into your skincare routine. 

The serum is formulated to firm, lift, tone and help enhance natural contours , while smoothing the appearance of fine line, wrinkles. It is also created to help brighten and hydrate the skin. 

It is to be used under your daily moisturizer and night cream. 

For me I did not find it sticky or greasy or create a firm on the skin. It absorbed really fast into my skin. I use it every night and on days I feel like my skin is dull or needs something extra. I have definitely found my skin to be more brighter and glowing. I do not have any superficial lines, or wrinkles..YET, so I hope this will also aid them so stay away .:)

I also love the smell of the product, reminds me of roses! Which I love! <3

The packaging is great too, looks so clean and I love the dropper. I would definitely be purchasing this product again and will be trying more from REN soon!

REVIEW: Micro Pedi NANO **

Hello Dolls,

I got sent the Micro Pedi Nano not that long ago, and to be honest, I was excited to see it come to my door. I suffer from dry and hard skin on the heels of my feet, so to get SUMMER ready feet I thought this is PERFECT! Hello soft feet!! :)

I got the blue version, but it also comes in two other colours a pink and orange. The micro pedi nano exfoliates and removes hard and dry skin from your feet, while it being gentle and without the use of any blades - its safe and you will have no risk of any cuts.  The micro-mineral roller rotates 30 times second..Amazing?..YES!

I did love this and found it great for my feet. I would recommend you use it once a week to help get started in getting the smooth feet and then use it every other week.  It does require batteries girls, AA!! Nothing worse then getting something and you cannot use it with no batteries. It is €39.95 from all good pharmacies nationwide. I do think it will be a girls best friend this summer! :)

Shopping Haul #1 (June 2015, Fashion & Beauty)

Heya Dolls!

So went shopping the 10th June, a Wednesday! I needed to pick up some bits and bobs and have a look about. For anyone asking or wondering...I was shopping in Galway, where I am now based. I had not taken time to have a look about or shop in Galway in ages so decided that day to look, I should have, let me re-phrase that could have bought alot more, trust me! But as I am trying to save etc, I just bought some bits. I plan in a week or so to go back in and buy the things I had my eye on..:)

But still heres a look see into what I got. Some of you may find this a good read others may not!

Key Summer 2015 Trends! Fashion and Beauty!

Hello Dolls!

Today since the weather is glorious and warm, I decided to take to my blog and write a Summer 2015 Trend post! Something that may spark some inspiration with you ladies. I have found the last couple of weeks like October so going from WARM JUMPERS to SHORTS in the space of a day can put you in a mind block, especially in this Irish weather!

I kn0w myself over the weekend was a jacket and warm clothes and today is sunnies and a t-shirt. 

It really gives me the urge to go shopping..*wink*Tomorrow *wink*!! Bye Bye bank balance. But today is the first day I can actually think about looking at summer clothes. 

If like me you are a basics girl with a few key pieces , then you may love this post. For me basic camis, shorts, simple dresses teamed with a denim jacket, sandels and statment neck pieces are what will bring you through the months, with some FUN colours and prints thrown in for good measure!

My obsession on the trends this Summer is WHITE!! For me not ideal as I think ohh no, no coloured foods or drinks! But it is so lovely when done simple and right! 

Take your basic white tee, team with a colured neck piece and a light blazer, jeans or shorts, flats for daytime and heels for the night!.

Another white look is skinny white jeans and bright top! Again perfect for day and night! So clean and still looking sharp!

Textures with the White trend is also fun and different. Like the rips in the jeans, lace, crochet, the list is endless. But you can always dress it up and down for whatever event you are attending.:)

As for makeup, I still love the bronzy/glow look, dont be mistaken for the heavy tan/orange look. I am talking beautiful highlighting, the right amount and tone of bronzer. Paired with either Neon/Bright lips for either the festival, BBQs or a holiday in the non irish sun! I think looks great. Pairing back the eye makeup to more soft tones and more fresh looks. Let your Skin be centre focus! :)

Some ideas to add to your Summer collection are: MAC Strobe cream, great on its own and under your makeup for a glow.

Body Shop Brozing and Highlight Domes, I recently found this online and these are so handy and look amazing, defo on my list this summer.

MAC Candy Yum Yum: Matte Neon Pink, great for that pop of colour from spending the day on the beach to going out!

Product Update! Urban Decay Smoky

Hello Dolls,

 I am so so excited about this new launch! Urban Decay has announced that they are releasing a new palette...the SMOKY!

Unlike the other Naked palettes that are themed on tones and that can be worn daily, this palette is defiantly for the ladies that love that SMOKEY EYE!

From picture and videos that palette looks gorgeous and the packaging is secure with a magnetic function instead of a clasp and a larger mirror, it has come along way from the NAKED 1!

Like all the other palettes the amount of shadows are still the same, containing 12!

With this palette there will be a mixture of textures which is different from the other Naked palettes.

Here are the list of colours from Left to Right and there textures:

High (Shimmer) Pink/Beige

Dirty Sweet (Shimmer) Light Golden Colour

I really think this palette will be a huge hit, especially for any makeup mad people!!

The mix of shimmer, satin and mattes are just great and something I think every makeup artist has been wanting!

It will be released in the US on the 8th July and will range from $50, as for us in Ireland and the UK, we have no release date or price, but I think it will hit between the €40-45 mark. Any more details or updates I will post on my Facebook page!
