Natalie Keane MUA loves Fanny Crown

Hi Ladies,

A bonus post for you all..(Arnt you lucky ladies , haha!)

Well I was contacted by Amy from Fanny Crown, a formal wear, debs wear and wedding wear website, that ships Internationally.

I was asked to take part in a bloggers contest, to choose a dress and how I would style it.

After looking at all the dresses, there was so many to choose from and it got so hard to pick.

But I managed it! lol

The dress I choose was a simple dress with details. I could have chosen one with loads of detail and patterns or bling or colour, but trends change and evolve so I wanted something that I could style any year, even 10 years from now.
I am a simple girl aswell, so this dress suits my style. Im not fussy or about huge detail, I am a simple and easy going person so this suits me down to the ground.

So what dress did I choose???

"DAAAAHHH-DAAAAAAAA"

On fannycrown.com I choose the

Flower Power Champagne Evening Dress

I absolutly love this dress and is so me!

Next question...HOW DO I STYLE IT?

WELL.......!!

Accessories Please!

(image from google search)

I would go with a simple diamond bracelet, that is either simple cut or with a design like the heart one I have choosen.

(image google search)

As the dress is simple, I would allow my earrings be the statement to complement the detail along the bust if the dress.

I dont think I would go for a necklace, but if I went with simple earrings then I would choose this one below!

(image google search)

It is a flower shaped diamond pendant, to complement the flower details on the shoulders of the dress.

(image google search)

Since the dress is simple I think a stand out clutch is important. This is a small clutch , that is crusted with different metal elements and pearl and bling and I really think it would suit the dress and complement the detail on the bust.

"A lady cant have too many shoes"

(google images)

I love open toe sandals with "BLING" with a long dress. You can get away with fun and crazy shoes with a long gown and let them peep put now and again, as it is a nice suprise! lol
But when search shoes, I love these and can see these with the dress, I would maybe not go with a silver and bright clear bling, I think an antiqued tone the shoes would blend in well with the bag and dress detail.

The FINAL Touches!

A look is not complete without the Hair and my specialty the MAKEUP!

So how would you complete this look?

I think a soft up style to show off the detail of the dress and the statement earrings.

(google images)

(google search)

I would go with a a light champagne frosted shadow in the inner part the eye, this is to keep the eye bright and doesnt make your look closed, which I think is important for a day event or any event when wearing a long gown.
A medium brown in the crease and as transition colour and then a chocolate and dark brown to define the eyes. Bringing the medium brown on the lower lash line, then the champagne colour along the tear duct. During the day I would use a nude/champagne coloured pencil and then apply a chocolate brown for the evening.
Invidivual lashes would suit this look , and make them a little bit heavier at the end to get the fluttery look.
Contour the face and alot of highlight (I LOVE HIGHLIGHTER, JUST SAYING!)

For the lips a nude pink/coral lip and gloss would compliment the look.

What do you think of my choice?

Have a look at www.fannycrown.com for your upcoming wedding, debs or graduation or any type of occasion. All resonably priced and great selection of choice.

Galway Races-Ladies Day Guide

Hello there Ladies!

Are you off to the Galway races or to any races? Is there a Ladies Day even taken places and looking for inspiration?

Well I have been looking on Pintrest! (much loved these days) And have been awwwing over some dresses and fashions I really like!

Unfortunately, I cannot attend Galway Races these year (SIGH!!)But for you lucky ladies heading off heres my guide to (maybe) winning the Ladies Day Prize!

"LOOK FOR THAT OUTFIT"

Whether its a dress, a suit piece or a jumpsuit, look for that eye catching outfit that you feel will catch that judge and every other ladies eye. Whether you spent €10 or €500 make sure it is in your budget and hey what are accessories for!!

Vintage is one that pops up year after year and everyone has there favourite era, icon or style, which they modernize to their own shape and style.

Whether you go for full on ballet 1940s/1950s dress or a vintage lace dress is up to you!

Colour Blocking has become a huge thing this summer and wheather you go for a neon pink and white or a yellow and blue, it can be fun and look amazing too....

Patterns are a timless classic, as the vintage. There is so much choice, from flowers, to tribal, to stripes or to poka dots. You can choice any one. Patterns can make that outfit stand out and be fun at the same time.

"THE HAT"

Facinators or the hat is another huge part of the Ladies Day event. People will go far and wide to a milliner to find that quirky, elegant and fun facinator or hat, that will make them stand out!

You will want to tie in your facinator with your dress so if you have a neutral dress or lain dress but is textured, try a fun design or someting quirky, or if you have a loud dress or want your outfit to do the talking, tone it back with a neutral/simple facinator/hat.

Depending on what you want is up to you.....

(photos from Pintrest)

"ACCESSORIZE!"

A lady has always to accesorise and it really makes that outfit POP and have intrest.

Again depending on THAT DRESS or how MAD the facinator is, is how you should choose your accessories. Weather its a statement necklace, a statement or simple clutch, black or nude shoes, lace or leather gloves or umbrella or sunnies (not just convenient for the weather)...

(images from Pintrest)

"GLAMOUR ME UP!"

Its not all finished when you get the whole outfit, you need to get your hair done and makeup done to finish your look. I suggest treating your self and seeing a hairdresser and makeup artist.

If you are going simple or funky try a smokey eye in browns/greys if simple or incorporating the funky colours into a fun smokey eye and a nude lip. But if its era based like 1950s, a winged liner and red lip is essential.

Hair can also be soft, elegant, romantic curls down or in an upstyle or a quirky era do!
Anything is possible to create that inspired and winning look.!

(*) MaxFactor Excess Intensity Longwear Eyeliner

Hello Girls,

Sorry for such a delay!

So this week I got a package from MaxFactor. I was over the moon to get the chance to try some products I haven't owned before.

I have used MaxFactor on myself and my clients numerous occasions and love there powder and foundations.

The shades I got sent where 02 Excessive Aqua, 04 Excessive Charcoal and Excessive Brown. All three are all wearable and the Aqua is so on trend for this season.

Other shades in the collection are, Excessive Green, Excessive Gold and Excessive Silver.

(*)Excessice Aqua, Excessive Charcoal and Excessive Brown

So what do MaxFactor say this liner does?

Well, it has an expert glide on with precision, self sharpen pencil, 12hr non stop intensity for extreme impact, 6 intense shades and is smudge and water proof.

So how did I feel about the Excess Intensity Liners?

I LOVED THEM!!!!!

Truely did. I am picky with liners and like a pigmented liner that will not budge. They are super super soft and really have a fantastic staying power. They are smudge and water proof and you will need a good eye makeup remover to get these off. Pigmentation is terrific and are so vibrant and have such a true shade. The blue is show stopper and with my brown eyes make them Pop!

Pens are super sleek and so easy to carry about and pop into the bag to define the eyes and turn a day look into night, with a glide of the pen.

I really want to get all shades as they are super fun and great for my endless collection.

(*)Bottom to Top: Excessive Brown, Excessive Charcoal, Excessive Aqua.

Bridal Guide

Hello MRS-TO-BE

First off Congratulations!

So whether you are a day in or a whole year into your engagement, I know you probably have 100 things you want to do at once. Between the wedding cake, the flowers, the dress and the reception, they are never ending.

So here`s where I come in to help. This guide is a time frame and some suggestions to make the thought process a little easier.

http://azeventrentals.com/home We look forward to having you as a future customer #chairrentalspeoriaaz

Preparation

Skincare:

The important base for your makeup for your BIG DAY , is your skin. So preping your skin months in advance so you get the right products and routine so insure on your day your skin is in tip top order. You need to find out what your skin type is, (ask your therapist or makeup artist or me :) ) Next step is getting products that suit your skin and getting into a routine, I would start this 6months in advance, to insure that the products suit your skin. Keeping hydrated and eating good clean food can also help your skin.  Food and drink can aggravate the skin so recording what breaks you out will help you stay away from them foods leading up to your wedding day.

Tan:

Most brides like to get a sunkissed and a bitta colour before their day, to insure they look glowing. Make sure you Trial your tan, as you may get a reaction or you may not be happy with the colour. I recommend a light natural glow, not to dark. Also the day before the tan, exfoliate, shave and moisturise the  knees, elbows, writs and ankles so the tan doesnt cling heavily to those area.

Hair:

Step one find a Hairdresser you trust. One that will listen to what you want. Have photos of ideas on what you like. Make sure you are comfortable and dont be afraid to say no or ask to change things.

Makeup:

When booking an Trial with your makeup artist, book 3-4 months in advance. Take looks you like and inspirations you feel you would like to recreated for your day. I would recommend bringing the people like your Bridal Party and Mother of the Bride to the appointment to get opinions and discuss looks for them on the day. Take a picture of your dress and bridesmaids dresses so that the makeup ties into the theme. Before leaving ask about the lipstick the makeup artist will be using so that you can purchase it to top up during your day.

THE BIG DAY!

Timing  and Lighting is the key on the day!
If your makeup artist is coming to you house, have a room with good lighting and a chair facing the window along with a table ready for her and the stylist. Dedicate a room for this as it will make the process easier and nobody will be crossing over each other on the morning and you can take a little breath of relaxation and be pampered before you pop into your dress.
I would prefer to start with the mother of the bride, followed by the bridesmaids and lastly the bride. I would take an hour to do the brides makeup to ensure it is not rushed and that they can relax before the whole day.
I find it is important for the stylist and makeup artist to stay until the bride leaves incase there is any touch ups needed.

TIP! Have your Tan done one day and then have your makeup and hair done the next so that you get the full look and effect.

My review on the Lipgloss`s

So I picked up 3 glosses from Tanya`s Lipglosses.

At first when I picked up and was trying to decide which ones to get, I noticed the packaging. A clear tube that allowed you to see the true colour, with a black sleek top. Each gloss has Tanya`s signature and a heart at the top of the gloss. They are a perfect size for your handbag and on the go.
The applicator is a flexible doe-foot applicator, which can be a love hate kinda thing. I do feel it could be a little more solid, but other wise I do not mind.

The colours I choose where:

Aurora

A medium pink gloss with silver flecks. Its the kinda gloss that is "My lips but Better"! A great daytime gloss, super easy to put on and not to worry about.

Let`s Travel the World

Lets travel the world is an orange-red gloss. It is a great gloss if you want to tip your toe in the bright colours. You can wear this on its own and have a toned down look or put it over lipgloss to add more texture and definition to a look.

Just Peachy

Just peachy is a quiet opaque peachy nude gloss. This with a smokey eye would look fabulous.

The glosses !

All of the glosses once your opened them have an amazing scent. They remind me of Strawberry Millions sweets. Any gloss that has`nt got that cherry artificial sweet scent is a winner for me. Even when on your lips you can still smell it and it such a nice treat , that I would almost eat it.
I really love the names of all the gloss`s, they are so quirky and random and true Tanya Burr!
The colour selections is great, some opaque, others more sheer, some with and without sparkle and have a variety of nudes, shades of pinks, purples and reds. There is something for everyone. Each can be worn alone or over a lipstick. They are a sticky gloss, but not an uncomfortable stickiness. The gloss leaves a wet look effect and does last quiet long on the lips. I didnt find any scum residue that alot of glosses do leave on my lips.

I will be trying to get the whole collection and try some the polishes.  You can buy Tanya Burr Lips and Nails online from Cloud 10 or from your nearest Superdrug. They are £6.99/€8.50 for the gloss`s and around £5/€7.50 for the nail polishes.

So do you think you will try these? Have you tried any of these, which are your favourites?
