2015 Resolutions...

Hello Ladies,

So 2015 is upon us. Again like most people we look onto the next year and make promises and expectations to ourselves. I think it is so important to make life goals and aims for ourselves. I am a few goals this coming year, some i shall share here but there is others I do want to keep personal.

2015 Resolutions..

1. Get Fitter/Healthy. Like everyone in the world we make that promise of going to the gym and losing weight. I have been working on get fitter and healthier all year and am proud of what I have achieved. I have a goal to hit, and I plan to hit it. To me being healthy, fitter is more important than getting to a size 0. I want to be my ideal weight and feel good. Its will help you feel good with mind and body and I love trying new things with food and exercise. Create a pumping playlist and off ya go....

2. Go to more Events and Places. I like my own comforts and get lazy at times of pushing my self to go places. I do suffer with anxiety at times so pushing back into a safe place is easier than pushing yourself out the door. So I would like to get to meet new bloggers, makeup artists, companies and attend more blogger events. Meeting and networking into a new area of my life would be amazing.

3. Go on a Holiday (abroad). Anyone that knows me knows I do not like planes or flying. I have a fear, so conquering my fear and seeing places I want to go like Paris, New York, Sorrento, I have them marked.

4. Do a Nail course.  Like the makeup I have an intrest in doing a nail course, so I plan on updating my skills.

5. Learn to drive. I have yet to start driving and plan on getting on the road, so watch out!! lol.

6 Do new things. D. Weather it be doing something that scares me or taking up something new or adding something to my routine. Breaking out of my comfort zone, creating more confidence for myself also.

I would love to know what your resolutions are. Comment below.

Top 5 Products of 2014

Hello Ladies,

Another year down and alot of new products have made it into my makeup bag. So I have loved and some I havent. But this post is ONLY dedicated to the products I loved this year.

From Makeup brushes, to cleaners, to foundations and lippies they have made it some way into my possession.

So here it is my TOP 5 for 2014...

5. Blank Canvas Cosmetics F16
Large Contour/Powder Brush

This is one brush I use alot. My clients love it also and find is super soft. I use it for both contour and powder. It does not shed and is the most go to brush in my collection.

4. Sleek Contour Palette (Light)

This is a great little kit to have in your makeup bag, If you are looking to update your look from day to night this is perfect as by adding a contour and highlight will freshen your look. I love the highlight in this palette, it has a champagne tone to it which i love.

3. NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

This is my favourite base. It really shows up any colour and give your shadow the best pay off. I use it all the time and for the clients that love colour it works wonders, for getting the colour to POP! I use this alot and would be again one my most used products.

2.NYX Lip Butter Gloss
Strawberry Parfait

I have loved this gloss not only for the smell as it reminds me of toffee crisp, ha, but the texture. It is soft, moisturising and not sticky. The colour is subtle but great if you dont want a full on lip or if you have heavy eye makeup it will finish your look.

1. NYX Round Lipsticks
LaLa and Violet Ray

I have been loving Nyx this year, quiet alot. And their lipsticks are no different. They are super soft and have a lovely gloss finish. I love lala this time of year, a medium berry shade and can be built up or applied like a stain.  I have a feeling they might make next years list as I have a wishlist of shades .

I am so excited for Christmas Day! I personally are traveling home and cant wait to spend the day with my family.

After Christmas day comes St. Stephens Day or Boxing Day. So for alot of people it means nights out with friends and celebrations before the New Year.

So this is just a little inspiration for Christmas Day and St. Stephens Night, to carry on the Christmas spirit.

This look again from Pintrest, is my ideal Stephens night. Still cosy but adding bling with the skirt, bag and heels. Again I would add tights. :)
Perfect for a few drinks and whether you go clubbing after. Dressy and comfy, my ideal look.

Salons Direct- Autumn/Winter Beauty Guide

Hello Ladies,

I was contacted by Ava, from Salons Direct to take there survey and have a look at their Beauty Guide. I have to say I was draw in....The beauty addict in me!!

When I took their survey, they asked me some questions like,
Do I work in the beauty industry? What is my role within the industry? Do you think our experts have predicted the most requested beauty trends of the season?
I answered Yes for the first question and as a Part time Freelance Makeup Artist for the second. For the third I answered Yes. My reasons where simple, as after looking at the beauty guide it was detailed and full of this seasons trend must haves.

Some examples of what is included in the Beauty Guide are:

Nails..

Trends like going from a Nude/Neutral/Bare colours to Vampy/Wine/Dark colours on this seasons nails.
Salons Direct got advice and more detail from Marie Louise Coster, Owner of all out mi- industry expert, chairperson Habia, SkillsActive Advisory Committee, feature writer Guide News.
She talks about the textures, bases, and the colours like barely there nude, darker, vamp colours like wine, purple and dark plum. I am totally on the dark vamp looks. I have been wearing these for the last few week and love, love, love them!!

Lashes & Brows..

Salons Direct also talk about those Lashes and Brows. Fuller, softer brows are in, all thanks to the gorgeous Cara in 2010. Catwalks wear bleached brows, in the real world, soft penciled brows. I love this trend, I have tried the over plucked look and it was not a good look! But now that the thick , groomed, soft brows are in, I am on board.  Lashes now are taken the focus from the lips.
Salon Directs got Lisa Stone-Salon System educator to take trends for lashes and brows. She speaks of bolder, dominating brows and lashes to be more volume 2D, 3D and 4D, depth and volume.

Tanning..

According to Salon Direct and their experts, deep intense bronze has been shelved and a natural glow is totally in, which I totally agree. I have never been an intense bronze girl, I love a glow, soft and subtle colour, so this trend suits me so much.  Natalie Roche-founder and managing director of Natalie Roche.com, speaks on behalf and as a distributor for Xen Tan and the other brands on the market, what are the biggest watchwords for Xen Tan, and what customers expect from tans.

They also give a great brief on what Xen Tan does. Xen Tan has many key ingredients and benefits.
Green Tea: fight free radicals, neutralizes UV light and antioxidant and soothing.
Vitamin A: antioxidant, vital for growth, maintenance and health of skin.
Vitamin E: balance skin, prevent cellular damage.
Shea Butter: moisturizer, cellular restoration, healing properties and elasticity.
Gingko Bilboa: strengthen fragile skin, increase collagen and balance texture.
Moroccan Oil: moisturize, skin protection properties.
Peptides: stimulate skin to build collagen for firmness and prevent wrinkles.

Some celebs that have been wearing Xen Tan are : Holly Willoughby, Mollie King, Una Foden and Kimberly Walsh.

Here is a link to the Beauty Guide Autumn/Winter 2014/15 . So do go and have a look, as it is so worth a read and gives great ideas for the festive season and gets me excited for the beauty prep for the season.

Eye of Horus..REVIEW

Hello ladies,

Sorry for the absence the last while, been moving and setting up house, so its been all so stressful.
But I have been sent some new products and couldn't hide my excitement and joy when got these.

The lovely Lara from Amazing PR sent me 3 products from Eye of Horus, a brand I never heard of until I read a product email.

Eye of Horus is an Australian brand and is very popular through Australia and New Zealand.

When I got these product I was not sure if I would like them, but I love them. The formula and packaging is super and works so well.

All the products are NOT tested on animals, are Paraben FREE, and are enriched with natural oils and waxes.

There top products include. that have Beauty shortlist awards are the Liquid Define and Goddess mascara.

I was kindly sent 3 great products, one which is packed in my moving boxes at the moment, but I have the same product in different colour and will still link a online swatch.

I was given Eye of Horus Liquid Define liner. This a great liquid liner as is will suit even the most sensitive eyes. The tapered nib is perfect to create the ultimate flick and cat eye. When I tested this over a week, I found it did not smudge, was water resistant  and was long lasting, exactly like they had claimed. There is no creasing or flakiness and dries quickly. As it is water proof I recommend a eye makeup remover and it will come off without scrubbing and being left with red eyes. So it is totally my favorite liquid liner at the moment. This is €22.20 and available from the links below

The next products I was sent was two the same but in different colours.
I got a Goddess  Eye pencil in Black and Deep Blue. Both colours I loved. I tested out them again for up to 5 days and a night out. I have to say they where really great. I was weary as they are gel based and wondered would they sit in my water line and they totally did. These pencils contain Organic Egyptian Moringa Oil also and are nourishing on the eyes.  Glides on easy, is waterproof and long lasting. They are double ended and has a smudge applicator at the other end so is perfect for the smokey eye. These are about €22.20 each and have a range of colours.

All the products for Eye of Horus are available on , Beauty Bay .

There are so many other products from the range and colour selections, a great new brand to try out if you like your smokey eyes and flick liners.
