*Review: Eye of Horus Brow Define*

Hello Dolls,

I was so happy to receive another product from a PR company with the Eye of Horus product inside.

If you want to see my other review on the other Eye of Horus Products >CLICK HERE<

The product I received is the Brow Define, in the shade Dynasty.

The product is  double ended, with a spoolie at the end.

The definer is a slimline pointed retractable tip. The formula has Candelilia Oil and Coconut Oil, which allows it to stay put for the day. Along with Caster Oil to enhance brow growth.

My shade I choose from 3, was Dynasty a Medium Brown.

So what are my thoughts on this products??

I loved the colour, a cool toned brown which is perfect for my brows. The slim tip is ideal for shaping and defining perfectly. I use it to define the centre of my brows and get that angle I like and then feather it so they are natural looking. It is so important not to overdraw or make them look like I used a pencil or any product. I certainty noticed that the product did not move once bit. I love the added benefits of the oils as I know I am nourishing them aswell as defining them.

Will I use this again? Oh, ya I will! I have found a great benefit and change to my brow routine and its a welcomed item in my collection.

I done a scary thing this week, I uploaded a improm-tu  video. It is no way professional or perfect, but I wanted to bite the bullet and get one up and who knows I may add more ..:P Heres a demo using the Brow Define.

Autumn/Winter Trends 2014/2015..Part 2

Hello Ladies,

So here is Part 2 of Autumn/Winter Trends 14/15.
In this post there will be my last six picks of this seasons trends.

If you wanna see Part 1 >>CLICK HERE<<

So I suppose I better get on with it, lol.

Here are my last Six picks!

Blue

Blue is making a comeback from the 90s, and will make a effective impression.
Designers that used blue, had their own interpretation of it.
Christian Dior had a more Glittery finish, Marchesa used rounded strips on the outline of the lid and Cynthia Rowley used another trend in arrows.

Pink

Pink can look inflamed on the face, especially if pale. But it is a great alternative for a fresh and different look. Some designers have used pink in a smokey eye, so it appears more subtle.
Both Julian McDonald and Jonathan Saunders used pink in their runway.

Lilac

A new colour to the trends is Lilac. A uber impressive and chic colour. Lilac is a new and is going to be fun colour to use and create with.
Chloe and Diane von Furstenbeary are some designers that used Lilac in their collections.

Brows

Not really a suprise that brows are in this seasons trends. They keep poping up and quiet similar to last season, thick, full and expressive brows are still in.
Dion Less, Marc Jacobs and Givency are designers that expressed the brows in their collections.

Berry-Cherry Lips

Bloody red lip shades seem to be making there way out this season, but other tones are making there way in. Berry, rosy shades along with bordeaux and other tones of red are going to be huge this season. Rebecca Minkoff went red with there tones and Marc Jacobs with a more natural tone.

Metallic

My last pick of the trends, which will be big I feel near the Christmas season, that is metallics.  Eye catching and chic. Alot of designers created there own vision of metallics.
Rodarte used bronxe lips, Badgley Mischka used golds, Donna Karen used Silvers and Altuzzarra used glittery effects.

Preparation for the DEBS (Prom/Grad)

Hello there girls!

I know I am probably a tad bit late for some of you for the DEBS season, I do apologies.

For any one that does not know, DEBS are the same as the PROM and a GRAD. It is a night spend with your class mates before you separate and go your own ways to college, work etc..

So for the ladies that still have to go to their DEBS, this is for you.

A helpful Preparation guide, for all those Questions and Queries for before that day arrives to the day itself.

Treatments:

Every girl leading up to the day is thinking about what to get done, and when to have it done, soon as the dress is got.

Eyebrows: Possibly not the most thought of until you sit down on the makeup chair or therapists chair. There are so many options you can get done to help groom those brows. You can opt for a traditional wax or go for threading. There is also tinting the brows and HD Brows. All of which range from €10 -50 and upwards. But stick to your BUDGET. I do reccomend getting the brows Waxed PROFESSIONALLY! Your brows frame your face and you will see such a difference.

DO NOT get your eyebrows done the morning of your DEBS, as the area will be red and it will take the day to settle and makeup will not be able to cover it flawlessly. I recommend getting your eyebrows done 2-3 days before your debs. Always get a test done before your appointment to make sure you are not allergic to the wax.

The Legs:  Whether you wax or shave your legs (again if waxing do a tester), do this the morning the day before your tan, so 2 days before the debs. You cannot shave/wax the morning of the tan, as your follicles will be open and is not goo for hair growth and it will look patchy.

Tan:  An Irish girls must have! I do recommend for your debs to get it done by a professional to ensure the colour is right for you and that it is flawless. Book your tan the morning the day before your debs, not that day as you will need to wash the developing layer off 8 hours after the tan and if you dont you will start getting darker by the hour.
The night before moisturise your elbows, wrists, knees and ankles, this is so the tan does not cling to these areas and appear darker.
Ask your tanning assistant for what your looking for whether its light-medium or dark. But remember you want a healthy glow, not to change your appearance.
Always have a tester done before hand also incase you are allergic to any ingredients in the tan and be sure to tell your therapist if you are.
The morning of the tan, wash your hair (as in the evening your cannot use soap). Wear loose clothing and if you have a strapless dress, where a strapless bra or a bandeau so you do not get any lines.
Shower about 8 hours after the tan, with no soap and pat dry! Dont worry if you see tan down the drain, thats the developing layer and the tan will redevelop to the permanent tan colour 1-2 hours later.
To prolong your tan, moisturise and your should get a week out of the tan.

Hair: As mentioned in the tan section, wash your hair before your tan, the day before your debs. Do not add too much conditioner or any product, let to air dry and do not style or add heat to it, as you are taking any texture you have to help create the style you want for the DEBS. I would book your hair appointment (if available) about 4-5 hours before you set off. And if you have any photos or ideas be sure to take them with you or show your hairdresser a week in advance in case anything extra is needed.

Makeup: Again when you go see your makeup artist, bring photos and share ideas a week before if you can, also take a photo of the dress, so colours can be matched and compliment the style and colour of your dress. Book your appointment 2-3 hours (if possible) before you leave. Tell your makeup artist also if you are allergic to anything, so you do not get any breakouts or reactions.

Lastly some Tips/Advice:

- Eat before you go, whether its a sandwitch or a salad, have something in your stomach. Its very easy the day of your debs to forget to eat or be nervous to eat. But if you plan to have a drink its important to have something, as it will be a long time from morning till evening till your meal.

- Pack a lippy and gloss in your bag. Whether its the same shade as the Makeup Artists or a just a nude lippy and a clear gloss, it will help keep you topped up for those pictures. Also carry a liner and powder.

- Some little extras, is a saftey pin, YOU JUST NEVER KNOW, when a button may pop or zip may break and it is so easy to pop in your bag. Lastly Flats/Flip Flops, your feet will thank you while you are dancing to Lady Gaga! (ha)

-Also dont bring any important items, like cards and excess money. Be sure to look out for your stuff.

OVER ALL.....ENJOY YOUR NIGHT!

How to get them "BROWS"??

Hello Ladies,

A huge part of my makeup application either on myself or my clients is filling in or grooming the BROWS!

This is a crucial part, a well groomed brow really lifts the eyes and makes you look more awake. If you apply foundation and don`t fill in or go over your brows with a product, they tend to lose there pigment and look dull and grey. NOT GREAT IN PHOTOS!

So what are the basics in getting that BROW!? Well groomed, thick brows are a real big trend from Summer 2014, which has been over the fashion weeks. A huge icon and famous for her beautiful brows is Cara Delevigne.
So if you are young and want to start plucking your brows....STOP!!! Natural is better.
If like me and you plucked the hell out of your brows and are trying to save them with shaping and filling them in, well heres a little help!

Using your eye as a guide and a pencil or makup brush, Start from the inner part the eye, arch from an angle -from nose and up through centre of pupil  and finish at the end of your eye.(SEE DIAGRAM BELOW) Depending how thick you want your brows is up to you.
I like mine thick at the front and getting thinner at the end.

So you have the shape, what products do you use next?
Well many people like to used a pencil, a powder or now a gel tint or a wax like product. There are so many products out there, so really its your own preference and how you like your brows to look. Me personally Iwill brush through my brows with a spooly to get rid of any foundation that may lie in my brows and then  use a well sharpened pencil with in a light brown to shape out my brow. I then use a powder that matches my hair colour and with an angled brush I lightly fill in my brows. Doing this in a feathering motion so it looks more natural. you can built it up then. I then brush through with a spooly and reapply if I need too. Finishing with a clear Brow gel to set all. You can also spray some hairspray onto a spooly and brush through your brows if you have no brow gel handy.

I do feel weird if my brows are not done, if I could only have foundation and my brows done I would be so happy.

Other alternatives, if you find it hard to do your brows is get them shaped professionally. HD Brows are a huge thing now and there are so many varieties of brands that offer the same result. Something to think of if you really find your brow shape a challenge.
