Galway Races..Ladies Day Guide, To-Do List: Part 1 "The Outfit"

Hello Dolls,

As we are exactly ONE WEEK to Ladies Day, I thought what better way to get us all in the mood and excitement but putting together an ideas and TO-DO list for us ladies attending the day. Something that will give you inspiration and also to tick off your list so everything is`nt left to the night before. No one wants to be panicking.

Today I thought I would start with the obvious. The outfit! For any event we plan everything around that outfit, weather it is the races or a wedding etc..

I have put together on my Polyvore a inspiration board of Three outfits I would consider a guide to any Ladies/Race Day event.

"Purple"

I first choose purple. Reason being, its nice to stray away from the usual girly pink and mix something else in, I think there is always a shade of purple for any skin tone and thats why I love it. Its an easy find also in the shops and something that can be BOLD or left soft and subtle.

I tied in prints with this look aswell and used white and simple accessories so not to take away from the colour itself. I think if it`s your first meeting this is a really good look.

"Orange"

Orange is defiantly a colour people can shy away from. If your into yellow but can`t find the right tone or its too much for you, orange is alot more subtle I feel.  Again I feel orange can flatter so many skin tones and ages.

The orange I chose is nearly a orange soda/medium orange colour and I teamed it with nude accessories, which I think not only complements but brings the whole look together.

"Black & White"

A classic, but the colour palette is easy to find and something you can always trust.
I chose a balloon midi skirt, which is really in, with a silk top, black waist belt and back accessories and pearl jewelry to add that classic touch.

I really love these looks and think they care perfect from the Young to the Mature.

Going to the chapel and I`m going to get.....

Hello Ladies,

I was kindly asked by Loverly to pick some wedding dresses from there online collection and chose a look and products I feel would suit the blushing bride to be. Some inspiration for that BIG day!

As a makeup artist, it is vitle the makeup lasts all day and night and photos well for that special day. Also that the colours and shades collaborate with the theme, textures, colours etc.

I  had a look on loverly`s website and have kinda got addicted to pinning my favourites, even though I still havent a RING on that FINGER, YET! haha!!

It reminds me of Pintrest and is great for ladies who are unsure of what they want and brillant way to store all the designs you like in one place. You can save in different folders and there is other catagories other than bridal gowns, there are bridesmaids, groom outfits, flower girls, intimates, shoes, accessories, etc. It means hours of looking and great way if your just starting out to get ideas.

I had a hard time choosing dresses and picking, I decided to do my favourite 2.
So many to choose from, whats a girl to do!

For each dress I have choosen a look and a list of products I reccomend for the look and style of the dress. I am taking in account of the shilloute and the detail and fabric when choosing the look.

Blushing Bride...

I really love the alternative colour for a wedding dress, with this one. Something for the girl who dares to be different and loves PINK!

This is the Vera Wang, Ombre Tulle Ball Gown with Pick Up Skirt
An ombre printed wedding gown with beautifully tossed tulle, soft sheer straps and a little bit of bling on the hip.
It is totally a romantic and show stopper but is also subtle enough.

When choosing a makeup look to accompany this fabulous dress, the first person that came into my head was Jessica Biel and her wedding to Justin Timberlake. Herpink wedding dress and her makeup sparked an ideal look for this wedding look.

I wanted something that would not fade into the pink ombre of the dress or overtake the colour of the dress. So I went for soft hints of gold, rose and natural pink colours.

Childhood Sweetheart...

This gown is the Peter Langer, WAKING UP, ballgown.
A cotton macram bodice, dropped waist, sweetheart neckline, illusion neckline and soft flowers delicately put on the skirt and waist and neckline. Accompanied by a soft pink/coral sash.

This dress is my utmost favourite and is totally my style and I am in LOVE with it. So soft and sweet and beautiful.

Thinking of makeup for this dress I thought Millie Mackintosh from Made in Chelsea, and her wedding to Professor Green.
Think glowing skin, soft lips and bright shadows with definition to the eyes.
