Extra skin care when in your: 40s

So like your 25-30s you will need some extra help to prevent ant-aging and to give your skin that extra protect it needs.

So what happens in your 30s to your skin?

Basically, your skin will become drier, you will lose collagen (this is a tissue which keeps your skin looking plump and youthful and full), your elasticity will weaken (elasticity is the stretch your skin, when you lose this sagging of the skin appears), also will appear deep set lines.

Extra Skincare when in your: Late 20s & 30s

Hello Ladies,

So I really just wanted to share some extra information and advice to help your skin when over 25 and into your 30s.

So basically, what happens to your skin when you reach this stage is that your natural oils slow down, your water holding capacity weakens, you will start seeing the first signs of lines on the neck and around the eyes. These are known as Superficial lines as they are not deep set, as they just remain on the surface and can be caused my expressions your face makes daily. 

So what should you be adding to your Skincare routine to help the anti aging process and look after your skin better?

You will want a Serum that will penetrate the 3rd layer of the Epidermis (this you will put on before your moisturiser)

I recommend the two above for serums and depending on how much you willing to spend and need a serum, the choice is up to you.

For your Day Cream you will need one that is going to protect your skin, so an SPF is important and one that contains Glycerin. Glycerin absorbs water and is good to hydrate your skin and get them water levels stronger. And also Titanium Dioxide is important in your day cream as it will protect against your UVA/UVB rays.

I am not going to suggest a Day cream for you as there are so many out there at either end of the price scale that have these ingredients in it. 

For a Night Cream you will want on the is going to norish and rebuild your skin over night and that contains Vitamin A. (Vit A rebuilds skin tissue)

Inspirational Irish Ladies: Elaine Crowley

Hello Ladies,

I want to start doing an "Inspirational Women" now and again. Yes this is a beauty blog and so on, but for me its Inspirational ladies that I look up to that give me the motivation to pursue and reach my goals. 


This week I wanted to start with my NO 1 Inspirational Irish Lady. I really admire this lady, ALOT. This lady is non other than Tv3`s Midday host Elaine Crowley. 




The reason I admire Elaine really for a few things. I have always watched Midday and loved her personality and banter. But I picked up a copy of R.S.V.P Magazine (March 2014) and read her Interview and it made me love her even more. Her honestly and opinions really stood out to me. She is a down to earth, easing going lady , but is like the rest of us has her ups and downs, but still sails through. 

Elaine is the face of Nupo and has battle her weight, but I have to say she is looking mighty now. I myself has struggled and still am. Elaine has such style and dresses to her shape, which I love because it gives me the confidence to look at myself and say YES, I can wear this and look good. As long as I am happy nothing else matters, or nobody elses opinions matter either. 

I enjoyed how she just landed into presenting after just being a sound engineer. Really gives me faith that "ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN", even when you least expect it, and life may throw you curve balls and it may be for the better. Life is not always about the one path, there are so many to choose from, as long as we make the right one for us , its the right path!!

To me Elaine is such a great lady, her own views, opinions, but able to have a laugh and be comfortable to laugh at herself and has such a glowing confidence. As we all do we have those moody days and have a grumpy look on our faces like she has admitted, but I really enjoyed her honestly and that she isnt always going around expecting a photo like "look at me I`m form the telly" she is a normal girl on the telly that is doing an outstanding job. 

I look forward to her future career and will be still watching Midday ..

Brown Eyes: what colours suite my eyes?

Hello Girls,

This is my last post on "what colours suit my eyes". So in this post we are looking at those of you with BROWN EYES. 
If like me you have Brown eyes, then we are considered lucky! Reason being, most people with Brown eyes can get away with a wide variety of colours and shades. 
Also our eye colour is very common, like blue eyes.

If you have brown eyes and want colours that will suit you and make them POP, you need to be looking for, Blues, Navy, Purple, Turquoise & Plums. When choosing a tone it is best to stay with cooler tones as it will show up the warmth of your eyes. Likewise Blues & Green eyes would stay on more warmer tones to help bring out there eyes and the tones in there eyes.
As for Metallics, stay cool and opt for something like silver, which will brighten the eyes.
